TUF 10 : Kimbo Slice to Appear on Season 10

Internet phenomenon Kevin Ferguson, better known as Kimbo Slice will be on the tenth season of The Ultimate Fighter reality show. UFC President Dana White confirmed the news with Yahoo Sports today.

White had been critical of Kimbo Slice when he was being used by Elite XC as their poster boy. White criticized Kimbo's skill, but now it seems Kimbo will get a chance to prove White wrong.

Kimbo Slice became an internet sensation because of his backyard brawls, and later made the move to MMA. He hasn't faced any world beaters in his short MMA career but he was getting paid as if he was. Slice Reportedly was paid $175,000 and $500,000 his last two fights with Elite XC.

Kimbo has not competed since losing his first pro fight to last second replacement Seth Petruzelli at Elite XC's final in a matter of seconds. The fight took place in October of 2008 and Kimbo has been out of action since. He turned down a contract with Strikeforce the company that bought many of Elite XC's assets. Kimbo's manager has stated that the contract offered to Kimbo was substantially less than what Elite XC was paying.

It will be interesting to see Kimbo Slice on television as he's an entertaining personality. It will also be interesting seeing his interaction with the coaches for the TUF 10, Quinton "Rampage" Jackson and Rashad Evans.

One thing seems almost certain, the ratings will definitely go up and could potentially be the highest rated season of The Ultimate Fighter.
